Summary

This proposal seeks to register PHA, the staking derivative token of the Phala Network, on Hyperbridge to enable future cross-chain interoperability between Bifrost and Ethereum.

Introduction

As cross-chain infrastructure continues to mature, enabling secure and trustless asset transfers between ecosystems has become critical for the growth of decentralized finance.

By registering PHA on Hyperbridge, this proposal prepares the infrastructure required for future interoperability between Bifrost and Ethereum, allowing the PHA token to move across these networks securely and efficiently.

This step strengthens the connectivity between Phala’s staking ecosystem, Bifrost’s liquid staking infrastructure, and Ethereum’s deep liquidity markets.

What is PHA?

PHA is the staking derivative token associated with the Phala Network, a privacy-preserving cloud computing protocol built within the Polkadot ecosystem.

PHA represents staked assets in the Phala staking system and is designed to enable:

• Liquidity for staked assets
• Integration with DeFi applications

Phala provides decentralized confidential computing services powered by Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), allowing developers to build privacy-preserving applications while maintaining verifiable computation.

Technical Details

The proposal registers PHA as a supported token on Hyperbridge using the standard ERC-20 token compatibility model.

Once registered, the token can be used in cross-chain transfers between Bifrost and Ethereum, secured by Hyperbridge’s cryptographic state proof verification mechanism.
